In particular the procollagen marine cream and the bliss capsules.
Am considering splashing out for a friends birthday but not if they're likely to give her spots.
Any advice gratefully received.

Hi,
I wish I had friends as generous as you!
I use the marine cream and love it, and wax lyrical to all and sundry about how great I think it is and have convinced others to try it (and now they love it) Its has a very light texture so not greasy but is also moisturing.
The Bliss capsules............... I'm really not sure about these, have tried them twice (for a month each time) and to be honest didnt really see a difference (which at £70 a go I really want to see) my sister on the other hand swears by them and I can "see" a difference in her skin since she has used them.
I guess it depends on how old she is / what her skin is like, the one product I would also be glad of from Elmis is the Pro Radiance Cream Cleanser which I love, even if I cant really afford it
Why not try one of the collections like this one

Which will let her try a few different products?

Ah thankyou. She has mentioned the bliss capsules as something she'd like to try but you are right I am loathed to spend the money if they're no good.
Like the idea of the collections but have found sometimes the bottles are so small you don't really get long enough to notice a difference.
Am liking the idea of a lovely cleaner though you as everyone loves a nice cleaner.

Oh yes and I love it. I have very sensitive skin and it has never given me a reaction. I use the collagen cream and it has brilliant results. I buy mine from TimetoSpa as there are some amazing reductions and offers:TI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
Oh for the good old days when I could afford to buy Elemis (or should I say...when I was reckless enough not to care how much it cost?!)
I do miss it. Active Skin Complex was my absolute favourite (not sure if they make it anymore). I loved the bliss capsules, not sure they made a massive difference to my skin but certainly they were bliss to use.
Remember, if you order them from QVC you could send them back within 30 days if they don't suit her skin.0 -
I would love for someone to but me PCMC - it's my fave. Not yet tried the bliss capsules, although I do have some. I have very sensitive skin and the only Elemis product that has ever caused a reaction is the Trienzyme wash.
I would second buying from QVC - with the ability to return within 30 days if it doesn't agree with your friends skin.
Just out of interest, when did you need it for ?? QVC have a TSV on Elemis this coming Sunday. These are usually great value, so might be worth having a look and seeing whats on offer. ~(I don't work for QVC - but I am addicted to toiletries!)
Salon Skincare seems to have some nice kits - although some of the sizes are small, which you say you're not keen on. TBH, it might be nice to get your friend a few smaller sizes, giving them the oppertunity to try out things they have not previously used. My 30ml pot of PCMC lasts me just short of 3 months - so the 15ml tubes in many of the kits 'should' last for about 4-5 weeks. Long enought to notice a difference if it has made one.Scrappie

I have to second this after months and months of watching Elemis on QVC (while using Decleor) I actually tried my 1st lot after talking to their lady in John Lewis and only because I was having an issue with Decleor and the counter lady there totally ignored me for a full 5 minutes and I was annoyed!!
Elemis lady saw me standing there and basically stepped up and said "hey please try this" I bought a kit in and around 7 weeks later, as I was getting to the end of stuff, I started to order of QVC, I also have really (really) sensitive skin and so far have had no issues.
IF you are planning on getting the Bliss capsules I would say buy a months worth as the week that you seem get in most kits, (IMO) wont really make much difference.
And as MSE tip quidco have timetospa.co.uk with 8% cash back and qvc is 5% but QVC's 30 day money back thing is a godsend for skin care.
Also a big thanks the the TSV hands up! Normally doesn't happen so close to payday = result!

I'm sure i'm the only person who doesn't rate PCMC.
Felt lovely whilst applying but did nothing for me skin and felt too light to moiusturise. Used the whole pot but was distinctly meh about it.
The Por Radiance Cleanser is lush tho - but a bit expensive.
Never tried the capsules.I'm so boring, my clothes wanna keep someone else warm, someone cooler0
