When I look into the forums, I can see the 'go to first new post' button on the first page of messages, but as soon as I go to the next page, it reckons that I've viewed them already and that nothing is 'new'.
Is there a way of stopping this?

It may be by chance that all the unviewed posts just fit onto page 1?0

Is it possible that you browser is set to block cookies? I think the forum software sets cookies (or tries to) so that it can track what you've viewed in a thread.0

Nope to both of you, sorry.
When I go onto page two, and it tells me at the top 'you last visited at X time' the messages are since then but it doesn't flag them as unread.
I don't think it's a cookie thing. The 'stickys' are marked as read, then the messages below have the flag, but when I turn the page, the flag is gone ... sometimes - seems worse recently!
