hi all, i applied for a loan with this company, i was informed there would be a fee once i was approved and found a lender. They took the fee straight away so obviously i emailed to complain as they had not done the above. i wrote a letter to reclaim the fee and now 3 weeks on they have still not refunded and have told me they dont understand why and to re write can anyone help?

You need to write (in the post) to welcome to request a refund of your fee, emails are often ignored.
If you did previously send a postal letter I would suggest sending again using recorded signed for post service so you can prove it has been delivered to them.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
Thanks.
Yes i did send the letter recorded and they have acknowledged this in an email there just saying now that they cant understand why i have not yet had it and have suggested i write to there auditor. Terribly frustrating but more fool me i suppose for looking at these things!!0 -

I hope you have gauged how this company operate, there is no loan, there never was a loan, they just wanted your details to take money from you.
The only thing you stand to gain is an increase in popularity, your phone will be going off at all times from people promising you non exisitent loans in exchange for an up front fee.
The best you will get is an offer of a Guarantor Loan.
In essence, you have been scammed, the simplest of Internet searches will have shown this for what it is, a scam.
You have requested your refund in accordance with their own T&C's, they have not complied.
Write again now making a FORMAL COMPLAINT once again insisting on a FULL refund (they can retain £5 only if you requested your refund after 14 days)
Sadly they have 8 weeks to respond. Include dates in your letter giving them the 8 weeks to respond (tell them the date) at which time you will take it to the FOS.0 -
These companies are a licence to print money from suckers.
I need to open one and hopefully those fees will come rolling in."We want the finest wines available to humanity, we want them here, and we want them now!"0 -
Write to them again by recorded delivery, refer them to your previous letter, and tell them that unless you receive your refund in full within 14 days, you will make a complaint to the FSA and OFT. This will cost the company far more than the money they owe you, and the threat usually works."There are not enough superlatives in the English language to describe a 'Princess Coronation' locomotive in full cry. We shall never see their like again". O S Nock0

Hi, does anyone have a number for welcome loans that isn't the number on their website? Wrote for a refund two weeks ago and sent e-mails, no reply from them and e-mails have failed, apparently can't connect to server.0

Phoning them will get you nowhere - follow the advice given to the OP of this thread and write a formal complaint to them.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0

When you wrote, did you send it Recorded Delivery? If not, write again this time by Recorded Delivery using the info above.
As Tixy says, phoning will get you nowhere."There are not enough superlatives in the English language to describe a 'Princess Coronation' locomotive in full cry. We shall never see their like again". O S Nock0
