You are right - about 90% of the posts are just effectively bumps (5% are the 'Notice' mentioned in the title that appears in the post above this one, and around 5% to do with reporting particular posts).
I am sure it could be very tedious to sit and read through the whole thread - if you find it to be so perhaps stop reading it?

Though if you had read post #2 maybe you would understand why there are so many bumps on the thread.

MSE is a massive forum with many new people posting on this board daily. This thread is aimed at those new posters - though its expected most will only read the main Notice, and only once or twice.

The thread has a purpose and is one of the friendlier threads I've read on these forums. You don't have to join in with the party if you don't want to _party_
