:hello: Afternoon all. Are we all suffering from Olympics withdrawal? What did you think of the closing ceremony? Not as good as the opening one I thought, but the athletes seemed to be enjoying themselves:D

    Hi Growurown
Definite withdrawal symptoms here..... I enjoyed the ceremony, definitely not as good as the opening ceremony, but they rarely are anyway. It was just bonkers enough I thought, the two highlights were the Who and the giant octopus:D:D

Was there a significance to the octopus? I thought it was good but couldn't work out why it was there or why everything was covered in newspaper:rotfl: Mind you I was half asleep by then.

I thought the octopus was all about the rave culture and everyone being slightly "out of it:D" in Ibiza.... Dunno, could be totally wrong and it could just be that the designer of the ceremony thought "we're missing something in the middle of the stage for Fat Boy Slim to stand it... I know, let's have a giant octopus:D"

I think you're right If, it was to symbolise the fact that the Olympics has been all over the press/papers for the last year.....
