Please help me on Thursday I had a bailiff come to my door asking me for £310 for a outstanding debt of £10 to magistrates court for various fines, I went to court over a year ago and was asked to pay £10 per week the debt was about £1000 I agreed to this and presummed the fines ppl set up the Standing order only to find out 3 weeks later I was meant to when they threatened me with the bailiff so I apologised and the paid £25 per week untill it was paid off, not knowing when I had finished paying there was £10 outstanding. So the bailiff came to my door 1st I new about the debt I had a full blown panic attack right there in front of her in my garden so she said let's go tlk bout this inside (my 1st error) she stood in my kitchen the whole time she never levied anything ,I pleaded with her to not take my car or my stuff so eventually cuz my kids were getting distressed she said she will be back tuesday which is when I get my tax credits for the full ammount which I said I would pay she gave me a form to sign to say on tuesday if I don't have the cash she will come in with locksmith (2nd error) which I signed so she left. I spoke with the courts they would not take the £10 debt back I went the CAB they said there's nothing I can do except pay. I then spoke to my MP who faxed a letter to Swift credit (the bailiff) to say he is writing to the courts to find out why on eartht his has been passed to a bailiff and to hold off untill this is done which they refused to do! I did offer her £200 down and the rest in installments but she refused that now so she will come today and I only have £50 on me as I needed baby milk gas electric etc to last me a week till I get paid again, Just to say aswell I am a single mum to a 9 year old and a 5 month old on maternity leave. I'm scared when she comes back today, and I have hidden my car I don't no what to do. Thanks in advance sorry bout thr rambling.

did she give you or supply you with a copy of the court order -(not a baliffs letter)
did she supply you with her authorisation to collect such debt?If you can't pay anything right away, speak to the bailiff about repayments, or:- tell the bailiff you'll pay the money back directly to the organisation you owe it to
- write to this organisation, and offer to pay what you can afford

please read this ,
if nesscarry go to the court this morning and pay the amount owing and get a reciept for when the baliff comes or make a payment offer to baliff but they could then charge for visits

as they have not levied anygoods either im not sure but they cannot just take items today you need to sort out a payment plan asap if the court won't help
do you have no-one who can pay for you on their cc or something

They just refused to take it back as it is already with the bailiff, I don't have anyone with that kind of cash unfourtunatly, I will set up a payment plan I will just call the automated line to pay £50 and go from there I'm just worried she will come in with a locksmith as she promised she would.0

The fees they are charging seem to be very high, I would try https://www.bailiffadviceonline.co.uk on this quickly, they charge a small fee but they can help you , the owner of the site posts here so may pick this up.Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. Really sorry but there is little you can do. The court would have made a collection order on your court fines, which means that if they are not paid in full then they can collect the debt by whatever legal means. hi if you wanted to pay online try this
http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Diol1/DoItOnline/DoItOnlineByCategory/DG_171309
that link says:
"Payments must be received on or before the date ordered. You don't need to wait for your Fine Notice before paying or setting up payment arrangements. If payment is made after the due date and enforcement action has commenced, the court may reject your payment."
so, unfortunately, your suggestion may well not work.0
