Cheap DVD-Recorder - no hard drive necessary

Options
I would like to buy a DVD Recorder for my sister - she does not want a hard drive recorder but just one that records on re-recordable dvd's - if that makes sense. Anyone bought anything similar lately and know where I can pick one up cheap?

I bought a Funai DVD recorder (DR-A3835) from Argos just after Christmas for about £50 to replace a VCR and it works very well indeed. However, Argos don't seem to stock it any more - maybe a newer model is around now...

Go look in your local tesco/asda if your after a basic model, they tend to be around £60 mark. Or currently at Argos Acoustic Solutions DVDRW300 DVD Recorder for £58.50

TO be honest a dvd recorder isnt worht it when you can get a twin freeview box and 80 gig hard drive recorded for £80 from asda, with DVD recorders you can only record the channel your watching which is a little on the silly side, at least with the freeview you can record and watch another channel or record one channel and watch a recording from earlier.
If it doesnt pay rent sell it.

It is still worth it - I just bought a DVDR to work burning stuff from my humax - HDD is all very well and good, but it means you can never record stuff for other people.
