tesco 25% off wine online

just had an email from tesco wine with over 750 wines at least 25% off. Some cases of wine £16. Even with delivery of £5 it is cheaper than instore

http://www.tesco.com/wine/

could just do with a free dev code but dont want to spend more than £25.

  • I seem to have a problem with this.I also had the same email and went onto the website. When I enter a £30 case into my basket it stays but when I add a £17 case when I go to the next page it has gone. No mention of it being out of stock or anything. It also doesn't matter which £17 case it is because I've tried it on a few and they keep disappearing.I did think it could have been because I hadn't signed in so I signed in but it still keeps happening. Annoying because there are some really good deals on there and IMHO worth spending £99 to get free delivery.
Has anyone else had this problem and more importantly solved it?

Yes the sainsburys offer started today(not sure when it ends but could be on they're website) and any existing offers eg 2 for £10, 3 for £12 are included like it was before xmas last year.

I normally stock up with the 3 for £12 and 2 for £10 wines when the 25% is on.

Last year, I bought 6 bottles of a tempranillo which was £11.49 or 2 for £10. With staff discount, I got £68.94 of wine for £20.25.:D

Been to Sainsburys this morning and although I did get 25% discount off the 3 for £12, it did NOT take off the double discount as Tesco's was doing last time (eg. last time say if a wine was £7 a bottle or 3 for £12, it would first deduct 25% off the £7 per bottle and then take off the 3 for £12 discount too)
Basically you are paying £18 for 6 in Sainsburys which is still good but as I recall I paid around £13 for the same offer in Tesco's last time.

ETA: had a mooch round Tesco's earlier and there were no decent multibuy offers on wine to be used in conjunction with the 25% off. However, they are doing mini bottles of wine 2 for £3 which DID work with the double discount so I ended up paying around a quid a bottle for these. The best ones to work this deal with for maximum discount are the dearer ones - some of them are £2.49 a bottle.

    Just a quick tip.
If you buy mini wine for cooking ( I bought 4 @ £1.99 2 @ £2.49) then you get the multisaver plus the discount .
My 6 bottles worked out at 96p per bottle.
