Post office and Co op are also 2 who only deal direct.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. Post office declined me for a mortgage of my own about 9 months ago for a pretty petty reason - perfect credit history, affordability wise i easily met the criteria, so i wouldnt say they were the most lenient - theyre backed by AIB off memory.
Co op i have no experience of at all so i cant comment one way or the other.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. First Direct seem good to me- currently going through the process. As they said on the phone to me "we are part of the HSBC group but like to do things a little different". I really like the fact there is unlimited overpayments allowed too!0
