the long road that is REMO

I contacted REMO almost 2 months ago and was told that even tho I had a court order from London court, I could file for REMO at my local Magistrates court. The "lost' the first letter and finally, after a month, responded to my 2nd letter. Now the local court is saying that i MUST file with the London Court
Is there a particular form number to 'file' with the court?
Does anyone know if this means that I must attend the court in London to actually file the papers or can I mail them in?
Has anyone had experience filiing and the timing it took once it reached the court to something even happening?
Im lucky, if you can say that, that my ex *pos* (piece of sh**) followed the one order the court made and filed a mirror order in the US so our UK Order is registered with the US courts. He just thinks he's above the law, meanwhile he and his new wife and all his step children enjoy luxurious holidays and new laptops around!

I've tried calling REMO and can no longer get anyone by phone. Ive tried calling the court and can never get through.
Thanks for reading!

How to apply
A UK resident who wishes to apply to obtain maintenance from a person overseas should contact:
their local magistrates' court (or county court where the order was made) if they have an existing court order for maintenance; or
their local magistrates' court if there is no existing order.

I would go back to the same court (with a letter) that instructed you to go to london, and explain that they are a registered business, and if they do not do what they are employed to do, you will have no option but to take legal action against them for any loss you subsequently suffer as a result in there failure to do there job.
It was always my understanding, that jurisdiction is NOT an issue as long as it is a court in ENGLAD or WALES...!
Copy it to your MP and explain in both that you are both annoyed and disheartened that a system set up to help the law enforce the legal requirement for Child Support to be collected is failing, and that if you do not get the action you expect, that you will raise the matter further at a higher level.
At least you will get an answer if you kick up..

If your ex has already registered the order with his local court in the US, then why do you need REMO? The reason REMO exists is to get the existing, or a new, or a variation to an existing order - registered in the country where the NRP resides so that it can become enforceable there. Once it is registered with the courts there though - it then IS enforceable - so no job for the REMO to do for you - unless - you are looking for a variation.
Do you have the details of which court he registered the order with? All you need to do is notify the enforcement agency there that you wish to sign up for enforcement of the document. They will then request you send them a list of payments made under the order and if there are arrears, they will enforce the arrears and regular payments as well. You will need to send them evidence of the order, and any info that might help them locate the order being registered in the court there.0
