Cake Making in a Bread Machine

I have recently upgrade my bread machine to a 'Lidl Special' and thought I would have a go at making a cake in it on its Cake setting. I used a cheapy Morrison's cake mix.
Now the cake itself turned out fine and has been wolfed down BUT the problem I had was actually getting it out of the pan. The Lidl bread machine has two paddles and when I turned it upside down and started shaking it, half of it fell out and half stayed in. I eventually got the rest out with the aid of a wooden spatuala.
Has anyone got any tips on how to get it out in one piece (or even two neat pieces).
