When to have manicure and pedicure done?

My #1 favourite nail lady is going on hols for the week before my wedding (the cheek :rotfl:) so... if I get a Gellac mani and pedi 8 days before the wedding, will they still look good on the day? They last 3 weeks.

Thanks in advance.

I havent used Gellac but easily get 3wks from Shellac. If you are unsure why not try it now and see how long it lasts for you, as some clients are harder on their nails than others. Good luck!

For me it would depend on the colour you are planning to get. I find that the regrowth after a week starts to irritate me with strong colours but with lighter ones I can go the 3 weeks before even thinking about soaking it off.

If you are going off on honeymoon after, the regrowth will really be showing and some might peel off while you are away.

I would find a new nail person and get a couple of sessions with a new person so you are confident with their ability and get it done a max of 2 days before the wedding.

It's just natural/French, not coloured if that helps?

Are you going away afterwards and want to have it looking good while you are away too? If so I still think it is too long to leave it but if its only for the day of the wedding, go with who you are comfortable with IMO.

    Hi,

I have Gellac nails done when I go abroad & have had them done 3 days before we go & then they have still looked great after 2 weeks in the sun, using suncream, swimming etc it lasts really well on my nails. However I tried Shellac last month & it was rubbish on my nails, really did not last. If you really want to stick with your favorite then you should be ok, get your self a pair of white cotton gloves to protect your nails once they are done. I've even had them on a work before now:D
