i can also confirm that the value range is most certainly not being phased out, if anything more products are being added. As has been stated, certain f&v lines are seasonal and as with anything else, the price of the products depends on the price of the raw materials hence price changes.

The only thing I've noticed is that they've changed the labels of the value stuff. Instead of mainly white with a bit of red, it's now mainly red packaging. Flummoxed me a couple of weeks ago.

Asda have recently changed their value stuff labels to green now too.

I always buy Value fruit and veg if possible. The only difference is that it is Class 2 produce - ie not standard eu size or shape.

Try shopping at a different time of day if possible to get the best TV ranges.
I know this is difficult when you work all week, but try making it the first port of call on sat, get there by 8am and there's always plenty of TV stuff on offer.

The crop has been really poor, on Oranges and Tomatoes. Few other staples as well...Rice I think. Has affected supply...and price in some instances.

Climate Change. The one thing Tesco can't fully control. Yet. ;)

    Hi,

my local Tesco ( Duloch Park)stopped stocking value malt loaf at Christmas - I assumed it was to give more space for seasonal items. However it hasn't come back in.

When I asked CS they said someone from stock control would check and let me know.. This was 4 weeks ago ........... so now I shop at Asda as they have it plus tea I like.
