Cosi Kitchens Lisburn - bust?

Hi folks
We got a kitchen from this shower last year and have had problems with it since. We were on the verge of taking them to court but they emailed to say that they are out of business so not to bother suing them.
Does anyone happen to know if they are out of business? Their premises is/was on Batchelors Walk in Lisburn.
Thanks

The standard must have fallen since you used them which is, I assume, why they went out of business.
It would have taken them no time and little money to sort out our problem but they dug their heels in about it. On hindsight, the business must have been sinking by then anyway so they probably didn't care.
We paid them up front too. So naive. If we'd done that a month ago......... :eek:Stercus accidit0 -
Well we had our install in December 2011 and as we say it was great perhaps your expecting more than you bought0

Problems problems.....
The above company has left us the lovely legacy of a leak under the concrete floor. The porcelain tiles have been lifting for a year but they were still cemented down in places so we couldn't lift them without breaking them. One has finally come away from its moorings only to reveal soaking concrete. It's along the line where the hot water pipes track to the kitchen radiator. We were wondering why our gas bill had shot up!
Same company had fiddled with another rad while trying to fit the kitchen rad and one evening the whole hot water system emptied itself into our sub floor. Thankfully that was downstairs. Thankfully we didn't let them do our bathroom.
They are bust so we cannot come after them. On hindsight, they were just inexperienced and learning on the job. Unfortunately for us we are the victims of that and we were stupid enought to believe them when they said they were in business for 20 years. I'm sure they were - just not in fitting kitchens!
Perhaps hunter501 could let me know how they are getting on. Let David know that he's cost us thousands. Thanks.Stercus accidit0 -
Are / were they a limited company?
If not you could persue the owner directly for costs?0 -
I will check but I think they were. They are still in business making kitchen doors afaik but obviously that is not something we can pursue as it is a separate entity.
Looking at my home insurance, I think that will cover it. I really hope so. It'll cost us thousands otherwise.Stercus accidit0
