    Catcha code not working on this comp either in Chrome. Did they do the Simpsons comp and people had the same issue?

    Maybe unique to you didn't work for me.
    Haven't able to enter a Sidewalk comp for a few months now due to not being able to see the Captcha code and I subscribe to the magazine. :mad:

    Answer is Trill btw.

    Someone(can't remember who) explained how to get captcha code yesterday,click on spanner in right corner,click tools ,click view source,then press ctrl and F together ,a box will pop down ,put 'Enter text' in that box ,you should then see lines of words ,1 line reads
    input type=hidden name=word id=word value=???? (here will be the 4 letters or numbers that are your captcha code.

    Thanks for the answer bigalec. I am not sure where I saw this on here, but I can't find it now. A poster said to right click the captcha image and click properties or inspect element if using Chrome. Scroll down to the text that contains something like this:
    <input type="hidden" name="word" id="word" value="AADG">e word element. I entered "AADG" and it said "thank you for your entry", so it must work :) Many thanks to the unknown poster for this.

    ETA: How spooky. Chelsea also remembered about this. :)

    The work around was posted by ribjinns :T :-
    Solution to captcha issues:

    1. Go to 'file' or 'view' depending on your browser (or right click) and then 'view source' or 'page source'

    2. Hit cmd (mac users) or ctrl (Windows) and at the same time press 'F' and type in 'Enter text' in the search box

    3. You should get something like this on most sites (it will be the only chunk of text centered) :

    <input type='hidden' name='competition_id' value='92' />
    <input type='hidden' name='competition_action' value='vote' />
    <input type='hidden' name='word' id='word' value='WE4S' />
    <input type='submit' class='comp-vote-button' value='Enter Now' />

    There's your captcha (in red)

    N.B- It may not work for all forms, but websites such as Sidewalk worked just fine!

    Note that the "Enter text" that you search for comes directly from the text on the webpage where it says "Enter text from the image above". Searching for "Enter Now" - which is the text on the actual enter button - also works. Your capture will be a few lines above or below this.

    Thanks One-Eye, Tea Pee Dee and chelsea1969.

    For reference for Mac users...
