i am 61 years old and retired due to ill health on a company pension,can you tell me if my tax code of 810L is correct.

Yes it is, its the normal tax allowance. ie
You are allowed to earn £8105 annually before paying tax
May I suggest you ring up the DWP to see if you are allowed any benefits to supplement your pension. Dont ask, Dont get.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

When you receive your state pension or any taxable benefits the annual amount received is deducted from this code number because there is no way of taxing them directlyThe only thing that is constant is change.0
