Suggesting vendors, services and products

EdInvestor, it's only happened once for me, a mortgage advisor asked me a long time ago. I added the interests recently to further decrease the chance that someone might get the wrong idea.

At 12 messages so far and with some interesting issues raised, this seems to deserve its own thread. Too much off topic but interesting discussion for the other one, and a good chance to clarify that consumers are allowed to recommend things.
