Weymouth

We went a couple of years ago and the whole place was a shambling mess with road works and diversions everywhere (some thing to do with the Olympics) is it still like that or is it all sorted out now?

It's pretty much sorted now, though whether the new traffic schemes are effective is a different matter.

    Any particular reason for asking?

If you are thinking of visiting during the Olympics then it will be mental (with all the joy and pain that brings) and accommodation will be non-existant.
  • Looking to go in May before the Olympics, last time was ridiculous we got stuck so many times it spoiled the holiday. Found a nice house to rent but didn't want to book up if it was still as bad as before.

all major works are done, town center will still probably be a nightmare due to the build up of traffic during peak times though

    I live there :)

Most caravan owners still have Olympic dates available in Weymouth, it seems people are actually booking other weeks when it wont be so manic. We still have availability when normally August weeks are booked by now.

I'm considering going there for the paralympics at the beginning of September. Does anyone know where we will be able to watch from? Will the viewing area at the Nothe still be available?
I need to make a new list for 2014

Try harder for 2014 as I never managed it in 2012 or 2013
