Do you need a UK address to have a UK Credit History?

I'm living in the Republic of Ireland and moving to Northern Ireland in the near future.

I've had a Northern Ireland bank account for 12 years and am wondering will my activities (all good) in that be put against my UK credit history.

I'll be moving to rented accomodation first for 3 months before applying for the electoral registrar. It'll take a further month to actually be added.

I know that, without a current UK address, I can't check my credit report. When I move to Northern Ireland and register my address, should I expect to see entries from my activities prior to actually having the UK address - possibly with the Irish address listed as a previous address?

    Yes.

But apparently that is too short...

So am I understanding this correctly:

Past Northern Ireland bank account activity will be recorded on my credit history when I move to Northern Ireland but any activity in my Southern Irish accounts (long term credit-cards which have recently been closed, mobile phone contracts, etc.) will not be recorded.

That's right, it may not be a problem especially with institutions, who you have dealings with, with operations in both countries.
