Help? A win or not?

Hi everyone

Today in the post I got a parcel from wwf addressed to 'Mr / Ms Tanner' containing a toy penguin and thanking me for my sponsorship.

Im confused because I don't recall signing up to sponsor a penguin and there's definitely nothing set up on my bank account.

Is this a win or have I been signed up without my knowing?

Can anyone help?. I don't want to keep it if it's been sent in error?

Hi there..

The only thing i could find was a comp on here for keyrings from the wwf but your name is no on the list of thanks and it's a completely diff prize. Tried googling for you but couldn't find anything similar either. My guess is there are 2 possibilites:

1) You have won a penguin sponsorship and been sent the penguin and generic sponsor pack thing and they didn't make it clear that you have won (might be if they just use the same stationary/print same letters)

2) You have been signed up to a sponsorship and maybe not showing in your account yet as 1st payment not gone out - not sure if they take lump sums on monthly payments for these things.

It seems strange that it is addressed to both you and your husband, not usual for comp wins as they normally only take 1 persons details (which makes me think it might be a sign up rather than a win) - unless i misread it and it is generic mr or ms??
Might be worth giving them a quick ring just to thank them for the penguin and to clarify how you have come to obtaining it
