This morning I got Oilatum shower gel (150g, expires March 2017) for 50p (from £8.50), Oilatum intensive anti dandruff shampoo (100ml, expires April 2016) for 50p (from £10.50). Also got a 200ml tube of kids sun protect cream by Sainsbury's 30spf high protection and sensitive stick 50spf high protection for £2 each (not sure how much originally), and a pack of strawberry Weetabix (24 biscuits), best before 20 December 2015 for £1 (from £2).

I noticed this morning that the strawberry Weetabix (24 biscuits) had been reduced again to 50p per pack (I paid £1 last week). There was a 50p coupon on the box which the till accepted so I got the pack free, with another coupon! In each pack there is a code to enter the red nose competition which finishes in a couple of days!

this explains a lot, the shelf seemed very reduced in our store - didn't specifically look but they had started to fill that shelf with other stuff.
I got one pack and youngest son took half the pack as he was very dubious about them.

anyway a good excuse to nip into Asda to see if any are left :D

I bought some violet crystals in the cake decorating aisle for 20p. Not entirely sure what they are but my daughter loves baking and lilac is her favourite colour so hopefully she'll like them!

I also found that the 25% off clothing (until Monday) worked on reduced clothes too, so a dress that was half price from £20 to £10, then had a further £2.50 making it £7.50. Worth a look.

This is a post for dedicated coupon-stackers.

I was looking forward to using MOCs during the double-nectar vouchers promotion, having told this was possible. In swapping my nectar points for £30 of vouchers, I was also given a voucher for an additional 2,500 points for another 3x£30 shops.

So along I came, with £100 of shopping to be divided into 3 shops (£40, £30 and £30) with MOCs for 2 of these shops fully expecting to be able to do so and scoop 2,500 points (=?£12.50 worth).

Not so fast :( . It turns out that:
    - MOCs could not be used on wine, boo-hoo
    - the MOCs could not be used on the element paid for with the Nectar voucher, ie it could be used on the rest if the additional shop was the same / in excess of the minimum spend
    - the £30 shops need to be on different dates

So a near total coupon fail.

  • I fared better than you VFM during the recent double up. I wanted a small vacuum for our caravan and spotted a Hoover capsule rechargeable, RRP £139.99, reduced to £49.99! I used a double up voucher for £40 against it, plus a £6 off a £40 spend voucher, enabling me to buy the vacuum for £3.99! Well pleased with my bargain!

About six of these on the shelf in Ashford, Kent store at £1.80 each. Shame I already have a stash of about 6 in the drawers under the bed from the good old days at tesco.

Found in Sainsbury's clearance section- lots of Gluten Free goodies. I bought Kosher cakes for 60p each- there were tonnes of them. I bought 6 of each (hope they're nice! As they keep until Dec). They also had Bob the Builder pasta shapes £1 a bag, Rhubarb & Custard Naked bars 75p, Newburn Bakehouse Blue Cheese Crackers £1.23, Newburn Bakehouse Sweet Chilli crackers £2.63, think there were some other bits too.
