Reclaiming over paid tax

in Cutting tax
It looks like Junior has overpaid tax - when he changed jobs back at the start of the year he didn't get around to giving them his P45  and as a result he was on a nil tax code.
Obviously he would like to get this back and has contacted the HMRC who have been 'looking into it' for the last couple of weeks.
He has now got his P60 from his current job so is there a way that he can quicken the process?

Yes, write to HMRC to request they assess the year. State that these were his only 2 sources of income and that he had no taxable benefits. Include the P60 and P45 from his previous job and Bob's your uncle.
