    Sorry, no. A Guarantor cannot have their obligations waived by divorce or separation. The remaining debt can be claimed from either the applicant or the guarantor - usually the easiest to chase is pursued.

    It is more likely they discovered you are on a DMP due to your other failures so focussed on the other half for payments.
