How to become a secret shopper

I am looking for ways to make extra cash in my spare time, I have just completed a survey for Paid Surveys Uk and filled out a questionnaire that said I could be a secret shopper at Asda with £100 to spend, is this a load of crap? There are also some places that they will send you a product and you then review it, do people really do this also?
A site called free20 quid says I have £20 I said I would like it in amazon vouchers is this a scam?
Thanks Joe

Reduce the Asda fee ten fold and you'll be nearer the mark and it's not just shopping you have to interact with members of staff following a set brief. Have a read of the Mystery Shopping threads they contain loads of info but don't think there is loads of money to be had because there isn't. Handy for supplementing other income.0

;)Hi Joseph
I just wanted to agree with MysteryMe. I do a little mystery shopping but it's not really a money thing but it can help out with things if you like to eat out - these are mainly chains. If you take a little time to read the first post of the mystery shopping thread (run by Weeg I think) you'll be able to get a good idea of the scope.
I manage to eat out quite a bit and get the food and wine costs refunded, I also get to stay in some of the cheaper hotel chains and get my money back - which suits me as I travel around a little.
You can earn cash with some of the companies, particularly those that focus on banking etc., some offer up to £40 for some of the more lengthy assessments - but you have to earn the money with your time and have to meet quite strong criteria.
Good luck and hope you find something of interest to you.
