Would this apply to Ulster bank in NIreland too?

It appears that a number of lenders in the South of Ireland including Ulster Bank are offereing negative equity mortgages to some customers
Does anyone know if this would apply to UlsterBank NI customers?
RBS is parent company in NI. Is this the case as well in the south of Ireland?

I have read about products like this being available but only to professionals. Lloyd’s (I think) offer it in England, not sure if it covers NI also.

There are a number of reasons why this is available in the South e.g. NAMA, public opinion etc. One of the main ones being the bankruptcy law. They are very draconian down South unlike here. They are penalised more when they default on debt.
