final maintenance payments

Sorry but meant to add this to my previous thread, as said on postd here that CM stops on ''Childs'' 19th Birthday, and as it will be a Monday this would happen, current payments are made by DD to CSA, Do, or should I recieve a letter prior to the 19th birthday, if so, would the DD automatically stop or would I be better anyhow - (daft question i know) informing the bank and also informing the CSA at same time so theres no problems. and once notified from CSA does that mean (again it sounds daft) that the case is closed fully or is there anything else I would need to do. Despite years of paying, I await day it stops in anticipation and will believe it when it happens - (oh and to add - itl probably cost me more once finished I guess) not that I mind as at least I know where its going, thanks in advance

its worth while remembering that as maintenance is paid in arrears there is usually 1 payment due after closure to bring the case up to date- you can cancel your dd and pay this by card as a final payment if it makes it easier and to ensure you dont overpay. just call and ask that when the case is fully closed you are happy to pay whats due when they let you know the amount.Comp Wins 2011 : Cant wait to start listing everything:j:j:j0

personally i would write to them four weeks before, also asking how much in arrears its paid, also inform them that you will be cancelling your dd from such and such date, and any payments owed will be paid up in full the following four weeks.
if you pay four weekly £400 and its paid 2 weeks in arrears, then the month after you have cancelled, you will pay the remaining £200,,, unless of course you can pay it all in full on the closing date. Then do so.
