Pledge or Mr sheen

Not sure if this is the right place.

Normally dust the house with a duster. Although a good exercise but am getting fed up with dusting after a few days. Have wondered if Pledge or Mr Sheen products are any good? Do they reduce static so there is less dust build up on furniture etc?

If they are recommended then which one?
Problem with having access to internet is that i get asked by many to solve their problems :( Well at least i learn something on the way :D

honestly? Id never use these on "good" wood. I have some vintage teak furniture and Id never use these, they are full of plastics and are no good for the wood at all. I always use a beeswax version, ( they have them everywhere, willkos, waitrose, tescos etc) and are about 10p more. ANd the smell is divine too!!!
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.

If you're talking about ordinary furniture, TV screens etc, I find Mr Sheen really does do what it says - and I'm someone who always uses the cheap stuff if I can get away with it!

These furniture polishes are full of chemicals,i use a microfibre cloth the dust clings to it and it reduces static ,and much more enviromentally friendly.

I prefer to use a damp cloth for dusting, at least you know you're not spreading it about and if things need a sparkle to them I finish off with a microfibre cloth. Pledge is brilliant for cleaning glass shower screens/doors as it makes the water just ripple off and if you can squedgie after showering it leaves it looking fresh all the time.
