Only saw the red (never really looked) in my store, but plenty at only £2.50 per bottle and I think reduced from £4.98 (wine prices fluctuate).

Tried a glass of red last night and it was fine, a bargain at only £2.50 even if only used for cooking!!
Might try and find the rose.
Tempranillo and Granache grapes, same as Faustino V11, but not as good.

This really is cooking wine only
Anyone see that episode of Come Dine With Me where the host decided to see if the resident wine snob really knew about fine wine like she had been espousing? He bought some Asda wine in a box (smartprice, I think) and decanted it into empty bottles of very expensive wine. Brought the wine to the table and proceeded to serve it to the wine snob, who on tasting the wine and, crucially, seeing the bottle it apparently emanated from, complimented the host on supplying such superb wine :rotfl:. Imo it's all a load of guff.0 -
Saw that Come Dine With Me episode. lol
I put it down to taste, it's personal and we all differ in taste tolerances. Price is not really a factor and some great wines for around £4 - Faustino V11 can be had for that price now and again, that's NOT a coking wine, and neither is the £2.50 wine really!!

Yes, my wine 'buffery' stretches to; it's quite strong, it makes you tipsy pretty quickly and tastes OK after the first glass.Wine buff Sarah is particularly impressed with Mark's matching skills, but, bored of her know-it-all attitude, the host decides to play a prank on her. He refills the wine bottle with cheap plonk from a box – but can she tell the difference? "The wines have been consistently good throughout the evening," she concludes. That'll be a no, then.

Hic, that'll do for me. I have an empty bottle of a very expensive red we got for Xmas just in case our own family wine buff comes to visit - I'll simply decant this into that bottle!0

The white is definitely drinkable! I took some away with me this weekend & it went down very well! 11%, so not bad! I would certainly buy it again! Still to try the Rose yet, which I'm looking forward to!!Everything I wanna do is either illegal, immoral or fattening! lol :rotfl:0

The rose is 11% also, its certainly drinkable I dont think I'd buy it every week but if I was having a poor week its good at £2.50:beer:0
