What size duvet cover to put over dress for storage?

My preloved wedding dress is being delivered today and I have managed to find somewhere to store it on a hanger until next year (once I have tidied it out). A few people have said they have a plain duvet cover over theirs, what size is it? Does it have to be completely plain or is a little bit of embroidery ok? I’m off out at lunch to pick one up but have no idea what to get.
TIA

If you're buying a duvet cover, why not buy a dress bag instead? That way you'll have something to transport it in & store it in after the wedding.0

If it's lace, do not hang it up! Lace dresses must be stored flat as they 'drop' i.e. get longer!!7 Feb 2012: 10st7lbs

The dress is satin and was listed with the “original bag”, I just thought that since I had seen quite a few people keeping them under duvets they were better. When I get home tonight I will have a look at the bag and then make a decision. Thanks for the advice

I would use a plain white or cream single cover - it gives the bottom of your dress a bit more space to fluff up than the original bag.
Embroidery is an added bonus to make it look pretty!0
