Icelands are doing a huge 1 kilo jar for a quid
But 4 cans of Branston Beans (414gms each) for £1 is the equivalent of more than 1.5 kilos - 50+% more - and they stay sealed until you need them.0 -

From today Asda are doing 4 pack of Branston beans for £1.
BRANSTON BEANS
Lidl will have them at the same price this weekend (£1), but ONLY Saturday and Sunday.

Ahhh I see where I went wrong now. I must only have taken in the title, and thought it was 4 individual tins for £1 - was wondering why my (small) local Asda was still charging 58p a tin!! I see now it was the multipack of 4 tins. They don't stock that by me so I'll have to go to a larger Asda.0 -
I bought 20 cans this morning from Asda. Lidl are also doing them for £1.00 this Saturday and Sunday.0

cagsd - sorry if I misled you.
Good luck in the large Asda.

They must realise that they're going to sell lots of things that are on special offer. Isn't that the general idea?
With the stock control systems available these days, there is no such thing as selling out, just not ordering enough.
ASDA do seem to be particularly bad at this. I note that there is a specific question about this on their feedback survey. The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.0 -

I was quite surprised when I went shopping yesterday to find they had a huge pile of the Branston Beans. I eat my words I thought - until I went to the soup aisle to buy 2 x 4 packs of Heinz Tomato soups for £3 (as per their offer) and, guess what! The shelf was bare of all 3 varieties in the offer!! Aaaaargh!"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0 -
We still have 40 cans on the cellar steps from the last time they had 4 packs at £1
We are still stocking up more though. However, think of other shoppers and just get them at 2 packs a time please.

Got 20 packs = 80 cans delivered on Monday along with 10 packs = 80 cans of coke zero @ 2 packs for £4, and they even gave me free delivery!! :j
Beans had Oct 2014 BBF, but will be gone by end of the year.0
