Fixed term employment & Mortgage advice needed

Hi

Is it possible to get a mortgage on a fixed term contract? I've recently gone back to a company I worked for 18 months ago on a 12 month fixed term contract, which I intend to make sure is a permanent contract at the end of it.

I've got £6k deposit on a £60k house.

But, is there anywhere that will give me a mortgage?

Possibly but hard work.

Would suggest a bigger deposit (if possible) or put a sibling or parent on the mortgage to improve affordability.
