After trawling through loads of reviews and offers for a cheaper but reasonable hair cut I've found the perfect solution via Hair college salons! As a student, I really feel the need to look good and get a nice haircut but yet do not wish to spend so much on those over-rated hair salons- most of which seems to have quite a lot of negative feedback on the service, especially considering the prices.
I've found some good deals on sites like groupon, kbg etc but they all seem to give away packages for things I don't need. I just want a nice cut and finish- no fancy hair colours or dyes!
In Birmingham town centre, I have come across an amazing deal that UCB are offering at "The Spa". They offer training student rates and their final year student rates. I've actually found that the level 2 training students pay a lot of attention to your hair and aim to do their best as they're being moderated too. There's currently a special offer on for level 2 services with a cut and finish at a mere £1! Down from the usual cheap price of £6. You really can not go wrong. All other hair services are half price currently too. I can understand being a little cautious but the way I see it is, unless you have a hairdresser that you rely on, it really is hit and miss whether a haircut will turn out good, so what better way to "experiment" than with an amazing value cut that has the extra reassurance of the experienced mentors and teachers.
So here I am with a beautiful haircut which I paid the unbelievable price of £3.50 for a cut and finish and also a conditioning hair treatment (which is usually valued at £5). I'd love to hear any other experiences though.
