I ordered a laptop using the 10% code and later found that Comet's price for the same model was £440 as opposed to £518 from Currys.
The sale is not as good as one might have thought!0 -
What kind of 'sale' is this when we have to find the code here ??? No mention of it on their website from what I see. A pain for me as I only wanted an Ipod Mini. I'll get it now from Apple using the teachers code.0

PC World were advertising £500 laptops on the TV last night. I looked on their website but sold out, out of stock in all my local stores too.
They were in stock in Currys last night but have now all gone, shame !0 -

Margarate, which laptop did you go for? The one advertised on TV was wi-fi ready which appealed to me.0 -

I went for the Fijitsu Amilo L7300 as I was told by someone that the specs were very good.
It's at a bargain price at Comets.
I asked Currys to match the price or cancel my order, but in reply I get "Thank you for your order. It will be dispatched soon" and various variations on that message.
They seem to be desperate for sales!

I hope you have phoned Currys to tell them to cancel your order
Just looking at the two specs though, Currys seems top be a lot higher, 512MB memory and a DVD rewriter. According to Comet, 256MB and no DVD rewriter !0 -
Cheers for this info everyone. I've just ordered a Sony Widescreen TV, as Currys were one of the cheapest (inc delivery) anyway and I've just saved over £50 (free delivery and EASTER05 10% discount) I've a very happy chappy.
Happy easter to all!0
