Broker needed to help get mortgage whilst on probation period

We've been declined an offset mortgage from First Direct (our first choice) and MHBS (who we have a mortage with currently) due to being in a 6 month probation period at work when the mortgage needs to start in August. We are moving house to tie in with job move - must happen all the time so seems crazy to be declined esp as have good salary, good credit history and low LTV ratio.

Anyway, MHBS have suggested using a broker to overcome the hurdles so any recommendations for good broker please that can help us out with this?

Thanks.

Key things to look for in a good broker (in my opinion)

That they will or can access the whole market
That you can speak to them when you need to (not always just voicemails and colleagues)
    That they are transparent

You cannot beat friends and family recommendations either.

First Direct are the most selective and therefore they were never going to accept probation unfortunately.

Provided you can demonstrate a track record in the industry you are on probation in, then there are lenders that will include your income.

If your income is not needed on affordability, you can go on with most lenders at £0 income..

    I wish you well...

There are mixed reviews of them on here, I think it may depend upon which advisor picks up the phone.

Recognise also that they are fee free, as they only recommend commission paying deals..

Good starting point though as fee free..

    Good luck
