No, not the filling, I understand that is restricted. But I've never had this with the salad before. Normally, they just chuck as much as they can on. One store only put 6 of each salad, but this was a corker! Imagine getting the salad bowl, it would be filled with air. LOL. Mind, that would probably be good for me, I need to stop junk fooding!

What I don't get is all the salad gets binned at the end of the day so why do they only put like 3 or 6 of each thing? The one that I work near normally has like 10 large see through bags filled with salad and bread at the end of the day left in the street for the bin men.

I used to work for HQ underground sandiwch... opening new stores etc. Firstly, the salad does NOT get binned ...

there is a formula for the salad to :

    for a footlong
    6 olives
    6 pickles
    4 sliced tomato
    etc etc etc

Sounds like you just got a new staff member, there is even a formula for HOW the toppings go on and the amount of sauce.
LOL it makes me wanna puke just thinking about it again I can whole heartily say I have made over 5k of subs!

The only thing that does get binned is the lettuce it comes prechopped therefore it goes brown quick.

Everything else is wrapped and kept. They have a date dot system so its never old...

Oh and the reason they don't give stuff away to shelters is they can get sued...

Maybe it's different in different branches. I walk past the branch everyday and I can see what the clear large bin bags have in them and it is salad too.

Anyway, I am on a diet so off to drink some water and just think about food and not eat any. Wish me luck.

You are welcome lovely. I got paid for the train stations and the petrol. They paid me for something else too but not sure what as I have not done any further work for them? I will just assume it's a special treat for little old me :D

PS. Did an underground sandwich shop today. The tight cow specifically counted out 3 bits of olive, 3 bits of onion and 3 bits of pepper. Is this normal?

You do any pharmacies for RA?
They pay the "bonus" separately from the main payments.

Maybe chuck a note through the door, pointless to waste that amount of food. They're getting their amounts wrong.

    Thanks for the link Yonk.

This is one of the things I love about this forum ...you come across the things you were looking for by accident. True serendipity!

All though they are franchised they have to follow strict rules, it could be food that has past due as the salad etc only has so many days on it.

The problem is from a legal standpoint if they donate and anyone gets sick they can sue... so a lot of companies choose not to do this,.

That's the reason to use Fareshare, I expect they will assume liability and assess the produce for reuse.

Salad is probably not the best tho for passing on.

Having just seen how they have paid me this month godonlyknows what the hell they are doing, by my workings they have paid me more that I was expecting but there is no way of working it.

At least ABAi pay each job separately so you can see what is what.

hey, new here and new to mystery shopping. Sorry I'm sure these questions have already been asked and answered but there is so many pages to read through that I would be very grateful for any help that you can offer me.

Regarding registering as self employed, it says about the 3 months. Does this mean that you must register and go through the self employed stuff within 3 months of your first job? Or do you have to register as self employed before you can even start?

Thanks to anyone that helps, it's just mystery shopping is something that I am really interested in doing but want to clear this up first - don't want to get into trouble!
