What are your views on TERN? Does anyone actually get allocated any visits? I used to get loads in the past, now with an average rating of 10. Over the last 6 months, I have applied for everything in my area and they always give it to others. Obviously this happens from time to time when visits go to other shoppers and I am not being a sooky lala, but is it really worth applying for if I never get anything? I can't really up my average rating to more than a 10. Do you all get lots of allocations? Your views people.........

I don't get much work through Tern, about 10 assignments in a year. But the jobs have been interesting, and for decent pay too. So I stick with them and try to pick up whatever shows up in my area.

I wouldn't take things too personally Mimi. Just keep applying and hope for the best. Thye've probably got loads of shoppers available to them, because they're nice to work for.

I get quite a few contact lens assessment ones but not much "normal" work. Although had a few other opticians ones as well in the past few months. The fees are generally better than some other ones and jobs are straightforward so I don't mind that I don't get lots.

I have been completing 2 assignments each week in a low cost supermarket in a town 15 miles from me - the town has 2 branches of this store - the company pays me mileage - this makes it worth my while making the trip.

I am registered with a few MS companies - and another one has contacted me today to see if i would be intrested in completing an assignment for them - the problem is - its the same stores that I do regularly for another company - and I have read the assignment notes and it is the exact same assignment brief. The payment however is lower and this company do not pay travel expenses.

Am I right in thinking that my orginal company is going to lose the contract with the store and they are going to move to the cheaper MS company??? Does this happen much??

Not at all happy with this - as I have been completing them almost a year now - and its great regular income!

I hate when the name badge is angled awkwardly meaning the staff member gives me a weird stare as if I'm staring at her chest, quite awkward today

MF, the briefing document in a straight copy of IMS's one too.
I walked past my local one here a couple of hours ago, the fee wasn't even worth me bothering with.
