I contacted Payplan with regards my debts back in October... took until february until first payment was taken out. Up until then I struggled to pay, if at all, my bills. I have now started making payments with payplan but since this i have had letters.. one saying the amount is not eoungh, one saying they'll send debt collectors and a letter to my Parents house saying a rep. will visit?
I am now totally confused and panicked at the situation. Surely these companies agreed to the amount before payplan dished out the money and why, if I haven't been there for 4 years, are they trying my parents house? I am now at my wit's end! I thought once payments through payplan had started i'd be a little less stress free... now i just feel worse!

Please do not panic it is quite normal that the creditors will try to get more money from you than you are offering. Do not offer more. Contact Payplan asap and explain the problem. They should then contact the creditors and make sure all the offers have been received. Once they start getting payments most creditors will back off. It is also very rare they will actually visit your home mainly just a scare tactic.
Well done anyway for taking your first step towards sorting your debts out.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Ignore them - they will harass you for a few weeks, sometimes longer and then things will settle down. It often takes time for them to realise they are receiving payments - and sometimes they are just trying it on. If the letters are particularly threatening, send them to Payplan, otherwise ignore them.0
