Hand Sanitisers?

Does anyone know where I can buy, at a reasonable price, hand sanitiser? The waterless one. I'm now in a job involving transporting medical waste and although I wear gloves and have vaccinations, I would still like some of this in my vehicle, so that I can 'wash' my hands when I am out and about.

One I found online so far is called Purell, has anyone heard of this or does anyone know of anyother product that would do the trick? I did see a kids hand sanitiser recently and I can't remember the name of it or where I saw it :o

Any hints or tips would be most appreciated.

thanks!

I used to use Purell in my practice. It was excellent.

Changed over to a more specialist hand-wash system a couple of years ago that included a hand wash for beginning of each session, a sanitizer for between glove changes and a handcream to apply at the end of a session.

But for what you want, I would recommend Purell. Does the job and is kind to hands.
    How to find a dentist.
    1. Get recommendations from friends/family/neighbours/etc.
    2. Once you have a short-list, VISIT the practices - dont just phone. Go on the pretext of getting a Practice Leaflet.
    3. Assess the helpfulness of the staff and the level of the facilities.
    4. Only book initial appointment when you find a place you are happy with.

    Hello,

Can't remember what it's called but I get small bottles of sanitizer from Superdrug for about 84p, for when I have to change mini-bun's nappies al-fresco. Is apparently the stuff they use in hospitals and makes your hands less sore than washing them all day.

I have a friend who buys something like that from Avon for her son who attracts mud where ever he goes.

    Arkonite,

I work in the community with patients who from time to time are MRSA postive. I wear gloves but keep purell hand sanitiser in the car for extra protection. I like it and it has never caused me any irritation. Mine is supplied by my employer, so I'm not quite sure where you can buy it.

Thankyou all for your helpful advice ;)

My local pharmacist and I had a chat, and she has found me some that is made by Milton, same as the sterilising fluid. In the meantime I found oune of the kids ones and am using it. Running round smelling like a strawberry though!

I will try the milton one but may order the purell one from the pharmacy website in the future.

Your pharmacy should be able to sell you an alcohol gel rub. I take the Sainsbug's one away with us on hols which is v. useful when confronted with one of those 'oh dear, is that meant to be a loo' experiences lol

Purell is the best in my opinion - I always bring lots back from the States.

Haven't like any of the ones I've bought here.........
