Stationery all matching?

Will you have all your wedding stationery matching?

Have ordered free postcards from Vistaprint as the Save The Dates.....but then thought, oh crap, have I committed myself to this Vistaprint design for everything else now??

We can afford to spend a little bit more money on invitations and probably weren't intending to get them on Vistaprint...do you think anyone will notice if the invitations are different to the Save The Dates? Maybe it will keep them guessing?!

I had Vistaprint Save the Dates and completely different invites, etc. No one said anything and tbh I don't think anyone would have noticed too much!
What matters most is how well you walk through the fire

Thanks that's exactly what I wanted to hear :)

I don't think I would notice and/or care if I received different STDs and invites for someone's wedding, so hopefully no one else will either!

I'm not 'worrying' about what people will think, but I do 'care' what they think as I like my guests and want them to think nice things about my wedding!
  • How many months in advance to ur wedding will you be sending your save the date postcards out ?
I want to do something like save the date but have no clue when to send them.

It will probably end up being about 10 or 11 months before the wedding. My date is during the school holidays and I want to make sure people don't book holidays!

It is very true... noone will notice whether everything matches or ties in...

    But...

    I notice :rotfl:

Yes I have to admit all my stationery matches.

But ha - you know the thing that I have had to 'let go' and 'get over' is that my balloons don't match the right burgundy red shade I've used in the stationery. :D

I don't think they all have to be matching. I personally preferred the things we sent out to be, but I wouldn't think it weird if someone else didn't.

What I am interested in though is why are you spending more on invites?! I wouldn't spend a fortune on invites (We used vistaprint and everyone thought they were great), as I'm not the kind to keep them! Once the event is over they go in the bin - sorry. I will be keeping a copy of ours, and the menu, which was also matching from vistaprint!

Our save the date fridge magnets were black and white from ebay, but our invites, order of services, table name cards, table plan and name cards are all going to be the same. I know it may seem a bit silly but I am a perfectionist and I notice things like that. We are bulk buying ours from a lady so although for about 85 people it is about 135 in total we think thats quite reasonable seeing as the design will be consistent. We sent our save the dates out about 14 months before, it made things more real seeing our names with a date and gives people plenty of notice. We have just sent our invites out and are getting married in five months.
Married my wonderful husband on 8/9/12 :j
