I would highly recommend their cookbooks, some really good recipes that can be made very cheaply.

  • You could give the vouchers to someone else as a gift

They sell beautiful Welsh wool blankets for £12 each which are not only lovely but a total bargain. Have seen them in local NT shops for the last couple of years:D

Yes, you can use your vouchers towards buying a membership. It can be very thrifty if you add up what you would have paid to visit each place over the year. It's worth having a look at the NT website at the places near you to see what events they have on. There are often lots of children's activities in the school holidays which have no extra charge. HTH :)

I've just had an email from them to say that you can't use them towards membership - am very disappointed, had quite determined on that. So back to the other suggestions now. Thanks all.

    ;) Hi Eliza

Had National Trust-tastic weekend, Fountains Abbey (Yorkshire) on Sat and Packwood House (Warwickshire) on Sun and saw the lovely £12 blankets in both shops. In fact I treated myself to one - it's ace! Go on, you know you want to!
