Pretty umbrellas and wellies

Hi Ladies,

I'm new to this forum but having read lots of the fantastic advice on these pages I thought you may be able to help me find some things.

I'm getting married on Saturday!! So excited, but not by the fact heavy rain is forecast :( We thought we'd make the best of it by buying some fun umbrellas and wellies for our photos, do any of you know where I can get these at short notice? I live in London but the wedding is on the south coast.

Thanks!!

  • There's a really nice old fashioned umbrella shop in Bloomsbury if you can get there, although it might be quite expensive!

Otherwise, there are some quite nice ones here: http://www.brolliesgalore.co.uk/acatalog/WEDDING_UMBRELLAS.html

Quick! Spend a fortune on beautiful umbrellas and start to actually look forward a bit to the rain and then it will turn out to be a beautiful sunny day :)
  • Matalan do both - not sure if they'll fit with your colour scheme though (I think there are more instore than on the website)? You can also try Primark.

I would have suggested ebay, but time is short!

    Have an amazing day!!

  • Oh - also try Tesco/ other supermarkets for wellies!

Thanks ladies. I think I'm going in with the strategy that if I buy the stuff then it won't rain! But if it does I'm sure we can still get some awesome pics.

Minerva, do you know the name of the Bloomsbury shop? I may be able to pop in at lunch time.

There must be tones of market stalls selling union jack brollies and wellies with the build up to tourist season, would this help?

James Smith & Sons - it's on the corner of New Oxford Street, near the British Museum.
