Anyone use Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation?! Tip!

Anyone use Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation?

Well, Ive been using it for 4 years now and wanted to share a tip which I just recently found out!

I get fed up with wastage trying to tip it out.. until I found this...

The MAC foundation pump fits perfectly and dispences the perfect amount of foundation on each pump!

... and best of all - its only £3!

Well worth it!

Mac is owned by EL so its no surprise that the pump fits both bottles. Now if it only fitted the Revlon CS I'd be very happy!

Thank you for the tip! just ordered one. Standard delivery is free at the moment at Debenhams.

Just started using this foundation, mainly for evening wear. Love it, but have a bad habit of leaving the lids off things when I'm getting ready, so this will save me knocking it over and wasting those precious drops!

Ooh, thanks for this. Added to the shopping list!

Tbh I don't like Double Wear much (far too sticky) but it cost so damn much that I'm determined to get every last drop from the bottle :D

Have you tried thinning it down with some moisturiser or mixing it with a lighter weight foundation to use it up?

Not yet, as I've been too busy testing BB creams to really use it. But I plan to :) Getting the pump will make mixing with moisturiser or whatever even easier as well as frankly the bottle is the worst design I have ever seen and currently getting foundation out of it at all is a bit of a challenge!!

While I admit the bottle isn't the easiest to get all of the product out of, I find standing it on the lid between uses makes it easier to get the last few bits out. Then, as another poster has suggested, I do thin it down a little with a bit of moisturising lotion and use it for days when I don't want as heavy a coverage.

    Otherwise, nice idea :)

I've been trialling doublewear and have to say I'm impressed as it is the only one that seems to stay put.

I saw a video about this on youtube. Has anyone tried the doublewear light?

Yes I tried both doublewear and doublewear light and the light didn't have the staying power for me.

My mum uses it and always uses a serum (No7 Protect and Perfect or similar) as apparently the Double Wear spreads over the skin far more easily and is easier to blend in.

Thanks for the tip about the pump, op, I'll let her know.
