Or you could just ask for a reassessment due to wilful withholding of information, a variation or departure order, which can be granted if the NRP has continuously withheld the info...! Which would allow it to be backdated...

Sorry had pros with internet so only just had chance to check this.

There is no deo in place but it came close!
He is forces. I only became aware of his promotion at time of first post. I am less concerned about backdating than i am about the REALITY of if my money from him would be stopped altogether.

    A if csa mess up
B if he stops paying cos being asked for more ticks him off.

Anyone actually been thru this from my end? Recently?
  • If he's in the forces then a deduction from earnings request will be put in place if he doesn't pay. It's essentially the same as a DEO, but issued by the MOD.

It's the same timescales as 'normal' employed NRPs, is a payment schedule in place? If so, he has to pay by the date on the schedule. If not, the system will flag a missed payment and a caseworker will try to call him for a card payment. If they can't reach him then they'll send a letter notifying him of a missed payment, which usually means an additional week or week and a half to make the payment. If there is still nothing received then a Der can be put in place. Once that is up and running you should see payments come in by the 19th of the month following the deduction.

Could be worth giving the Csa a call and asking for a callback to find out what they're currently doing, and whether any notice of arrears have been sent to him yet.
