I'll go anyway. If 1 adult has to pay and everyone else is free it's still a good offer. But it doesn't look like anyone has to pay.

How does that work out then?
Do they do free weekends often? :)

Sorry, I think I confused you. What I meant is, normally I pay for one entry but on these free days, NT members can take guests in for free too.

I think usually they do a free weekend once a year.

    Fingers crossed for good weather!

I think possibly the best thing to do is to ring where ever you are going before you set off. All of the venues must have been told about this weekend

I think they have changed the wording since the original statement. It now reads:
    Offer terms and conditions
    • Offer valid only from the 21- 22 April at participating properties during published opening times only. A list of participating properties can be found below. Please check opening times before you visit
    • Voucher is valid ONLY on completion of name and address details
    • The offer is free entry for a maximum of 2 adults and 2 children (between the ages of 5 and 16yrs). The voucher is flexible and can also be used by adults only (up to a max of 2 adults) or by adults and children (1 adult and 3 children or 2 adults and 2 children)
    • Only one voucher can be used per paying adult or National Trust member.
    • This voucher must be surrendered upon admission and is non-transferable against the cost of membership
    • This offer is not valid for coach parties
    • There is no cash alternative
    • This voucher cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer
    • Not valid on bank holiday or bank holiday weekends
    • Not valid at a National Trust event where a separate charge is made
    • The promoter of this offer is: The National Trust, Heelis, Kemble Drive, Swindon, SN2 2NA. Registered Charity Number 205846
It is a very good offer still, even if not totally free.

I've just rung up and it took ages for them to check - but eventually confirmed it is free for everyone and they are looking into the T & C which are causing the confusion.
