Hi all new on here today and after some help. I am searching for discharged bankrupt lenders if any one can help. I have been discharged over 4 years and have £55,000 deposit and require a mortgage for £142,400 plus my deposit = £197,400
Thats about 28% deposit.
The defaulted credit cards in my bankruptcy order all say satisfied.
Since my bankruptcy in aug 2007 i have never missed any payments, direct debits, credit card payments etc my credit records look good apart from the bankruptcy,i dont owe any money.
Now all i need is a mortgage if any one can help, no high street banks will lend so help if you can,it will be greatly appreciated.
All the best

There are lenders available, you need to speak to a mortgage advisor really.
With it being a few years ago and presumably you now having an decent credit score and a 25% plus deposit im sure an advisor will find you something.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. I'd be fairly confident of getting this away with a High Street name.
Definately agree with ACG though, get a broker to go through a full fact find with you then pick a lender accordingly
Which banks have you tried? and please tell us you havent let them all credit check you.....I am a Mortgage Adviser

Only Nationwide have done a credit check with experian, Halifax and Accord done a soft search so nothing left on my file, currently have an application in process with National Counties fingers crossed but if that fails i dont know who to try? Suggestions please i dont mind paying lol.....Or perhaps you know someone on the inside who can help me :0
Any help appreciated.0 -
A couple of small Building Societies can look at this but be aware only certain brokers in thier catchment area can access these, so don't be surprised if some brokers tell you now't is available.
National Counties and other small lenders will go through your Bank statements, so everything there must look decent (no regular betting shops visits for example).0
