newbie- advice needed please

hi all,

i have a mortgage with egg which was transferred to yorkshire building society in october 2011, rates are roughly the same so all good i thought until last week when i got a letter stating my payment protection for the mortgage wasnt transferred so from july 2012 i need to sort out an alternative. My problem is last year where i work announced that we all are being made redundant in october 2012, negotiations have been held but as of yet i havent been given my 90 days notice this is expected at the end of july 2012.

Im have no idea what to do now? i cant get new cover knowing about the redundancy so any advice would be great

Read the letter carefully. Are you sure its a requirement?

sorry no its not a requirement, i mean after 8 years of paying the premiums come my redundancy i'll not be cover is there anything i can do?
