Halifax mortgages linked addresses

Hello all,

I am in the process of selling my house and buying a new house.

I have used a mortgage advisor to apply to Halifax (I am self employed and they seem to be the only lender for my circumstances). I have an AIP which I gather is fairly worthless. It I'm hoping my mortgage advisor has done his job and is suggesting the best lender for me.

I am looking to borrow 85% and the mortgage will be about 3 times my income. My credit history is squeaky clean, but..... I live with my husband whose is not!

We have no joint finances, the application and deposit are mine alone, as is the mortgage for the current property. However, I have read something on here recently about linked addresses. My husband's debt is historical and cleared and none of it occurred when sharing an address with me, however he is on the electoral roll and has applied for credit reports from the shared address.

Is this going to cause me problems at the full application?

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

Probably OK with Halifax if just you on application.

I second that I think you will be fine.

Sometimes reading this forum gives you the worst case scenario, as typically people come for help (fair enough) and do not just put a thread - got my mortgage with x and it was easy
