Did they rip off my Mother in Law?

Hi,
My mother in law (83) ordered and paid (£2000) for odd bits of furniture.
Delivery was to be in 12 weeks from the date of order.
Two weeks later she decided to cancel. To my astonishment she has been charged £200 cancellation fee. They originally wanted £400.
Was she ripped off, and if so, where can we go for redress?
Thank you.

Thank you mrskint,
I havn't seen the contract yet, but I'm certainly going to chase this up, seems so unfair to me.
