No P60

I am currently claiming JSA but starting my new job very soon and would like to claim workng tax credits but i have not had a P60 yet, where can i get one from? Thanks

    You will receive a P60 at the end of the tax year. Which runs from April 6th to April 5th so you should receive it any day now.

    I never handed my p45 into the job centre, will i still get one off them?

    Yes you should still get one as you were in their files. If you don't receive one you will have to contact the job centre.

    You will not get a P60 if you were not at the company at the year end. You will only get a P45. P60's are only issued to employees that are still with the company.

    oh ok, so when i start my job and want to claim tax credits how will i know what i earnt in the last tax year? cheers

    You will not get a P60 if you were not at the company at the year end. You will only get a P45. P60's are only issued to employees that are still with the company.

    The OP is expecting a P60 from the jobcentre, which as sammyroser says should be issued some time this month.

    Whether or not the Jobcentre will issue one in April, it should be remembered that the legal deadline for issuing a P60 to an employee in respect of the 2011-12 tax year is 31 May 2012.
