Pension help please!

Hi all,
I would be very grateful for any advice or explanations that you can give me, I don't even know where to start with pensions!
I have a stakeholder pension that my dad essentially set up for me when I was younger and I have never understood it. I do not make regular payments, I have occasionally put in small amounts and it only totals about £3000. I also get occasional letters from a financial advice company but have never actually had any advice I could follow!
I also have an NHS pension started last year when I started work.
Can anyone advise what I should do with my stakeholder pension? How do I know whether it is right for me, and if not can I change it? What do I need to ask this financial advice company?
Thanks for any help!

Best decision you'll ever make. Can anyone advise what I should do with my stakeholder pension? How do I know whether it is right for me, and if not can I change it? What do I need to ask this financial advice company?
The best advice would come from an IFA but at £3000 it's probably not going to be worth it.
You could transfer it into the NHS pension.0
